Laila Rajabi
Coming to Laila’s table you should expect pomegranates, pico de gallo and a shimmy;
Microscopes, flame torches and towers of nerdy textbooks;
A book of poetry and a hawk feather;
All of the above: a symposium of her influences, which make her a profound teacher.
Laila preaches the word of microworlds, chemical pathways, peace and war inside. A maestra that works spells to explain the intricacies of microbiology, pathophysiology. The original sentiment of curiosity and awe that lured her to science, still leads the way.
Her passion is as contagious as the viruses swirling around on the petri dish in her lab.
Finding strength and beauty from her 3 children and husband, Laila sigue su camino. She is
the bridge of understanding for many healthcare workers in our community.
The nurse that holds your hand, once held hers.
Currently, she teaches, inspires and leads at the Bel Air Health Professions program, inspiring generations of future nurses and physicians, so we can continue to radically take up space in spaces that were not designed for us.
Nubes Intention
I speak Divine protection over our children, that they are fiercely guarded and cherished as we stand united in our commitment to safeguard their futures.
May our youth be surrounded by nurturing adults who recognize and celebrate their unique gifts. Grant us the wisdom and patience to guide them with grace, helping them uncover their strengths and navigating the challenges of life with confidence.
May we exercise the wisdom that fosters our health and wellness so that we can be of service to those in need of our compassion.
Keep our hearts open and strong, even in the face of those who may seek to harm us and May Love be the guiding light that heals and harmonizes our commUNITY.
Amen.
