Marcos Adame 

Marcos Adame es originario de Segundo Barrio. A los 10 años se enamoró del fútbol y su comunidad. At 22 he still runs en los mismos callejones, makeshift soccer fields and parks.  Volunteering is second nature to him: He fits in coaching and mentoring young ones while working and going to UTEP. Marcos reconoce que una pelota es una herramienta para el crecimiento y el bienestar de nuestra gente.

Marcos es tan fiel que sigue con su equipo originario, Segundo Barrio Futbol Club, an organization that uses soccer as a tool for social change. This all-volunteer organization goes beyond the soccer ball by providing a space for sport, college prep, literacy programs and more y con mucho corazón.

Marcos, you have bloomed where you were planted, and we are so grateful. 

Nube Intention My vision for the city is for people to remember that we have a special gift on the border. We share the feeling of home, even for those passing through. I hope that we can create more leaders that feel this way.
